EmployABILITY Programs
EmployABILITY is a collaboration of service professionals working together through the Los Angeles WorkSource California system to help people with disabilities find jobs and build careers, and assist businesses that hire them.

Here’s a brief description of some of the EmployABILITY Partnership programs designed to help businesses address issues related to hiring and accommodating persons with substance dependence and other disabilities:

EmployABILITY Hotline
A toll-free Hotline provides disability-related information and resources to employers. The Hotline number is: 1-866-521-7867 or TTY 1-866-521-7807.

LEGACY/HR Diversity Training

Human Resource Professionals can strengthen their knowledge of disability-related employment practices by participating in the LEGACY/HR Diversity Training, a pioneering course that is specifically designed to meet their needs. Topics include:

  • Disability etiquette
  • Interviewing techniques
  • How to provide cost-effective workplace accommodations
  • Latest changes in disability law
  • Employee benefits
  • Financial incentives available to employers
